Eric Blickenstaff • MSW, LCSW
Eric’s approach to individual and family counseling is rooted in a compilation of family of origin, family systems, cognitive behavioral, collaborative problem solving, solution focused and narrative theories. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Graceland College in 1998, studying Sociology and Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2006 studying Counseling. Eric is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
He has extensive training and experience in providing child and family therapy including more than six years at the Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District as a Behavior Consultant. Core duties included conducting behavior assessments and creating behavior support plans, providing individual, group and family counseling to children and families in Linn and Benton Countys. Eric’s family therapy training consisted of in depth training from Functional Family Therapy inc and participation on a multidisciplinary team which met weekly over five years to continue training.
